Hot Air Balloons

I've been feeling a little like Ferris Bueller- "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." I KNOW life moves fast, TOO fast some days. So, I'm taking time to look around- I don't want to miss a thing!

Today I wandered over to Lisle's - Eyes to the Skies Festival. They do a sunrise balloon launch. I'd never been to a hot air balloon festival, I had the day off - why not! It meant I had to get up at 3:30am - ilk... BUT the experience & pictures below were TOTALLY worth it!!!

 

The sun hadn't quite come up yet...

You'll see a tiny black dot in the sky - it's a small helium balloon that the agents from the FAA use 

to test air conditions. They check with O'Hare just to make sure the ballooners will be safe.

It was fun to see the Wicked Balloon - and the crew was really cool!
